Master's Welcome

I very much hope that those of you who were able to attend enjoyed the Choral Workshop we organised recently at St George’s RC Cathedral, Southwark with David Allinson. We felt it went very well but having spoken to a number of course participants we have noted some improvements that we would like to make for future events of this nature.

Pictures from the day’s workshop have now been uploaded to this website for you all to see. Please feel free to download or view them as you wish. It is always nice to have a memento of the day. We plan to organise more events of this nature and hope you would like to be kept informed of future courses and concerts.

There are over four hundred Fellows of the Academy world-wide and our society has representatives in all continents. We have an Early Music Panel of distinguished performers and academics who can answer questions on a wide variety of early music subjects. The Academy has an impressive and wide-ranging list of Honorary Fellows from around the world, some of whom have performed or given talks at past Convocations. Please look on our website for details.

Our society holds two Convocations a year, in winter and summer, which take the form of a short admission ceremony for new members followed by a concert, recital or workshop. Our journal VOX is published annually. In it, members can contribute articles and/or advertise concerts or early music forums and organisations free of charge. We also publish an interim newsletter for members in November.
